Our course enables you to combine the study of artistic creativity with a wide range of academic skills. You acquire a broad knowledge of Western art between the 15th and 20th centuries as well as more detailed knowledge of specific periods. Oxford has outstanding resources in its museums and galleries, including the Ashmolean Museum and Christ Church Picture Gallery. Final-year students also have access to the world-renowned Bodleian Library and the History-of-art-focused Sackler Library. Tutors are active researchers with strong reputations and are regularly involved with major exhibitions.
